Global Configuration Commands

To enable MPLS TE SNMP traps, use the following global command.

Command Modifiers Default Use
snmp-server enable traps mpls traffic-eng {down | reroute | up} Disabled Enables MPLS TE traps for tunnel down, tunnel reroute, or tunnel up events. If you enable snmp-server enable traps mpls traffic-eng, all three traps are enabled.

All other commands in global configuration mode start with mpls traffic-eng.

Command Modifiers Default Use
…auto-bw timers [frequency 1-604800 seconds] 300 seconds Determines how often tunnel bandwidth is polled for all interfaces with auto bandwidth enabled.
…link-management timers bandwidth-hold 1-300 seconds 15 seconds Determines how long bandwidth requested in a Path message is set aside in anticipation of the Resv message.
…link-management timers periodic-flooding 0-3600 seconds 180 seconds Determines how often unflooded changed link information is flooded.
…logging lsp [path-errors | preemption | reservation-errors | setups | teardowns] {1-199 ACL | 1300-2690 ACL} Disabled Enables logging of various LSP-related events.
…logging tunnel lsp-selection [1-199 ACL | 1300-2690 ACL] Disabled Enables the logging of LSP selection events on TE tunnels—when a TE tunnel goes up and down, and which path option was used.
…path-selection metric {igp | te} TE Tells all tunnels on a headend to use either the IGP metric or the TE metric for path selection.
…path-selection overload allow {head | middle | tail} Disabled Allows PCALC to use nodes signalled as overloaded in the path calculation for an LSP.
…reoptimize events link-up None Disabled With this enabled, try to reoptimize all TE tunnels on a box whenever a link comes up in the network.
…reoptimize timers frequency 0-604800 seconds 3600 seconds Determines how often to reoptimize each up tunnel to see if there's a better path it could take. Setting a time of 0 disables reoptimization.
…signalling advertise implicit-null {1-99 ACL} Disabled Advertises implicit null rather than explicit null for any tunnels for which this router is a tail.
…signalling interpret explicit-null verbatim None Disabled Controls whether a received explicit null signaled value is inter-preted as explicit null or implicit null.
…topology holddown sigerr 0-300 seconds 10 seconds When RSVP signalling says that a link is down, this governs how long that link can be disregarded for CSPF purposes.
…tunnels None Off Starts the basic MPLS TE process.
